Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) is a federal humanitarian immigration classification designed to protect undocumented children in the U.S. who have suffered abuse, neglect, or abandonment by one or both parents. It provides a pathway for these vulnerable youth to stabilize their legal status and eventually obtain a Green Card.
